Hinckley and Burbage Lions news

Part of the blooming delights on offer in the garden at Princess Road

A beautiful garden right in the heart of Hinckley will be opening its doors to the public and fellow Lions later this month.

Cynthia Lines has spent many happy hours tending her lovely plot and has decided to share it with members of the public, while also collecting funds for a cause close to her heart.

The Princess Road resident is secretary of Hinckley and Burbage Lions club and the funds raised from the open day will help the club’s fundraising efforts.

She said: ‘As Lions we are always thinking of different ways to raise cash for charity and as people have commented on my delightful garden, it seemed a good idea to let others see it, while boosting our club funds and we would love to see our fellow Lions from other clubs come along.’

It will cost £3 to enter, including a free cake and cup of tea. And there will also be a chance to buy plants grown by Cynthia.

The doors open on Sunday, June 25. at 60 Princess Road, Hinckley, LE10 1EB.
